How to Engage Student Voices

by Dr. Maryann DiEdwardo

THESIS:
I use deconstruction to apply critical race theory and apply my methodology to the teaching of American Women Writers after 1900 and other Literature classes.

                                      EMPHASIZE STORY TELLING

With application of critical race theory to deconstruct false perceptions as false to the truth  and to teach that ALL voices must be heard in my presentations and classes.
"Within critical race theory, various sub-groupings have emerged to focus on issues that fall outside the black-white paradigm of race relations as well as issues that relate to the intersection of race with issues of gender, sexuality, class and other social structures. See for example, critical race feminism (CRF), Latino critical race studies (LatCrit)[37] Asian American critical race studies (AsianCrit) and American Indian critical race studies (sometimes called TribalCrit)."
